Bluemont Fair - Sept 15 & 16, 2007
Held in the historic village of Bluemont at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Loudoun County, Virginia - junction of Rt. 760 and Rt. 734, just off Route 7.
540-554-2367
Cost: $5 per person
Ages: all
Drinking Fountain: none we noticed, but water sold for reasonable prices
Restroom: lots of clean port-o-potties
Parking: free, short walk from fair
Stroller-friendly: Yes, but off road/ jogging strollers would be easier than regular ones.
Pet-friendly: Not officially - the guide we were given (and didn’t read until we got home) clearly states no pets. However, we happened to have the dog with us and she was made so welcome we joked we should get her her own tent next year.
Goats & llamas and alpacas! Funnel cake! Honey Bees! A beautiful fall day! Craft booths! Live music! And to top it all off there was this beautiful set-up in the children’s fair where you could hear music from a band full of instruments like washboard bass, watch children climb all over a pile of hay bales while others danced and chased after a couple dozen hula hoops in the background. It was like a very good dream
11/07: Updated to add link to live action footage.
