As is the case with most sleep-deprived moms I appreciate a good cup of coffee, especially from a cafe that caters to the folks I love best. We visited Cuppa Giddy Up on our way to the Bluemont Fair last weekend, and even though the space is very small it is obvious that the proprietors had families in mind. There were single cheese sticks for sale (reasonable priced I might ad) for those in need of a healthy snack, toys for the kids to play with, and a basket full of books.
I was sold on the cater to kids bit alone, but before I even planned my kids I loved my dog, and Cuppa Giddy Up thought of her too. There was a dish of milk bones by the register.
Again, already twice sold and wanting to support this little place, but there’s more… before I even considered adopting a dog, I was passionate about taking care of this planet we share and Cuppa Giddy Up obviously shares my values, as their menu included organic and fair trade items - even the sugar was organic!
I’m in love. I may drive back to Middleburg just to get a cup of coffee one of these days. You should, too. Maybe you’ll find my kids and me reading a story on the couch.
